Kanji Kata (Direction)

Lets learn on how to write Japanese character Kata. Kata means direction or way. The meanings of this kanji will be different depends on the combination with other kanji. For example if this kanji use with kanji Yomi (読み) becomes 読み方, the meanings will be "How to Read". While if this kanji combined with kanji 向き becomes 方向, the meanings will be "Direction". Kun-yomi for the above kanji is "Kata" or "Gata"
On-yomi for the above kanji is "Hou" or "Bou" or "Pou"
