Kanji Tanbo (Rice Field)

Our second kanji for today`s lesson is Kanji "Tanbo". Tanbo means rice field. In this kanji there are 5 strokes. First stroke is from top to bottom. Second stroke is from left to right then go to bottom. 3rd stroke is from top to bottom again. Fourth and fifth stroke is from left to right again. For the details please see the uploaded video:-



Kun-yomi for the above kanji is "Ta" or "Da"
On-yomi for the above kanji is "Den"

A few words that use kanji "田" are:-
Tanbo (田んぼ) = Rice field
Inaka (田舎) = Rural Districts
Suiden (水田) = Wet rice paddy
Yuden (油田) = Oil well
