Kanji Ue (Up)

Ok, lets learn our second kanji for today`s lesson, kanji "Ue". Ue means up or above. In this kanji there are only 3 strokes. First is from top to bottom. Second is from left to right. Last stroke is from left to right again. For the details please see the uploaded video below:-



Kun-yomi for the above kanji is "A" or "Ue" or "Uwa" or "Kami" or "Nobo" or "Noboru"
On-yomi for the above kanji is "Shou" or "Jou".

A few words that used kanji "上" are as below:-
Ue (上) = Up or above
Ageru (上げる) = Raise
Joui (上位) = High rank
Jouge (上下) = Up and down
